Beyond the Waters of Falcon Lake

About this book

On September 30, 2010, Tiffany Hartley and her husband, David, set out on jet skis to explore the ruins of an old church on Falcon Lake, along the Texas-Mexico border. They never imagined the adventure would end in gunfire. When armed members of a Mexican drug cartel opened fire, David was killed. Tiffany tried desperately to save him before a voice told her she had to go. Alone and under fire, she made the impossible choice to let go and race toward safety. Her survival was only the beginning. In the days that followed, Tiffany's private grief became an international news story. While mourning the man she had loved since she was seventeen, she faced relentless media attention, public suspicion, threats, and questions no survivor should have to answer. In the years ahead, she would confront survivor's guilt, depression, a crisis of faith, and another devastating loss.Beyond the Waters of Falcon Lake is Tiffany's deeply personal account of the love that came before tragedy and the life she fought to reclaim afterward. With unflinching honesty, she reveals how she found the courage to love again, trust God with the questions that had no answers, and choose more than survival. For anyone wondering whether life can ever feel whole after unimaginable loss, this is a story of faith, healing, and hope. Tragedy may change your life, but it does not have to define it. There is still a beautiful "Beyond" waiting for you.
