About this book

This is not the spotless, show-ready, never-been-used kind of Southern cookbook - Meghan Lynn's debut cookbook is the real one. Meghan Lynn, known online for her joyful wit and Southern warmth, opens up her kitchen (and her life) in this collection of comfort food recipes paired with the stories that inspired them. Something Good is a cookbook for people who don't have the prettiest kitchen or the fanciest dishes, just a willingness to show up, stir the pot, and feed the people they love. Whether you're hosting a family gathering, cooking through a hard season of life, or just need a chocolate cake recipe that actually works, pull up a chair at the table and enjoy Something Good. Inside this Southern comfort food cookbook, you'll find: Foolproof Family Recipes - From Mamaw's Fried Chicken and Fried Cornbread to Grit Cakes with Parmesan Cream Sauce and a Chocolate Cake that survived a Category 5 hurricane Real Kitchen Wisdom - Tips for make-ahead, storage, and reheating with almost every recipe, so nothing goes to waste Laugh-Out-Loud Storytelling - From mandoline mishaps and a scaring war gone wrong to a rowboat that was nearly launched into an orchestra pit Genuine Heart - Honest reflections on motherhood, grief, survival, faith, and the kind of love that shows up in the form of a casserole
