The Salvation Schema

About this book

The Salvation SchemaA novel of redemption, escape, and the price of true freedom. In Havenwood, salvation is a rigid doctrine. For Sarah, it's a prison.Twenty-year-old Sarah has lived her entire life under the silent, crushing weight of her father's legalistic gospel and the all-seeing judgment of the First Baptist Church of Havenwood. Every prayer is a performance, every day a tightrope walk above condemnation. Inside, a storm of resentment has been brewing-a desperate desire for a life that is messy, real, and, most terrifying of all, her own. When the psychological tyranny becomes unbearable, Sarah formulates a meticulous escape plan. It is a scheme that will cost her everything: her reputation, her family, and-if she's caught-her soul. The plan hinges on a calculated theft that launches her into the anonymity of the outside world, a place she quickly discovers is more brutal, seductive, and unforgiving than the shelter she fled.Lost in the shadows of her new, chaotic life, Sarah spirals into addiction and despair, trading one form of bondage for another. But the road to ruin is also the road to truth. The Salvation Schema is a powerful, unflinching journey that asks whether true grace can be found when you have already committed the unforgivable, and if a woman can ever fully escape the darkness within herself to finally claim her own redemption.Sometimes, the only way to find your faith is to run from the church.
