A Year with Naomi

About this book

Inspired by Bill Martin Jr.'s friendship and writing, Lyle Lee Jenkins shares Biblical stories using simple, vivid, and fun words for young children and early readers. In A Year with Naomi: From Sad to Glad, Dr. Jenkins retells the year-long sad story of Naomi losing both her husband and two sons. She decided to return home to Israel and her daughter-in-law, Ruth, joined Naomi. The detailed colored pencil drawings by Tom Wrightman bring this touching Bible story to life. The Bible Patterns for Young Readers series is unique among Bible stories for children because they are written for children as they begin to read. After parents, other adults or older children read the books to young children, they will pick up the patterns and read the books themselves.
