Book of Joshua (Sc, Nlt)

About this book

A beautiful representation of The Book of Joshua--a richly theological narrative portraying the unwavering faithfulness of God and the importance and power of obedience. From the very first chapter, God speaks clearly to the people of Israel: "This is my command--be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9). This refrain, "Be strong and courageous," echoes throughout the book, serving as a guiding principle for Joshua and the people as they navigate the challenges of settlement following a prolonged period of wandering. Alabaster's approach reimagines the entire experience of the book. Incorporating images that illuminate the themes and messages of the text, this book will help the reader engage scripture in a fresh way. The Book of Joshua in the New Living Translation (NLT) is great for Bible studies, church groups, or individual devotional times. Alabaster creates with the reader in mind--including careful use of negative space, legible typefaces, and layouts that allow a thoughtful exploration between text and images.
