God Made Me Unique

About this book

God Made Me Unique is a beautifully illustrated picture book that helps children understand that every person is made in God's image and has value, dignity, and worth regardless of appearance or ability.Set in a Sunday school classroom, the story introduces readers to Brie, a new girl whose arrival gives the class an opportunity to learn about differences with curiosity, kindness, and care. As Brie's teacher explains why she wears headphones and the children begin to get to know her, they are gently guided toward a biblical understanding of what it means for each person to be uniquely created by God.Told in a charming rhyming style, this colorful hardcover book helps address fear and misunderstanding surrounding special needs while encouraging children to treat others with compassion and respect. With a special section in the back for parents and caregivers, it also equips families to have thoughtful, loving conversations that deepen a child's understanding of God, themselves, and others.
