Hosting Jesus

About this book

Recovering from two devastating losses, he tries to glue his life back together. But that doesn't cure his pain, and it doesn't revive his floundering faith. Can he recover more than peace of mind, even return to a living connection with his supernatural friend? Philly Thompson once met Jesus on a city bus. After that extraordinary visit, Philly's life didn't go back to where he started. The intervening years have been more tragic than magic, however. In that time, he lost loved ones, lost another job, and lost much of his faith. Still, he pushes forward with his work, with a renewed relationship and even with fatherhood.Jesus didn't promise him a story filled with triumph. But he did offer himself as a continued presence and an intimate friend. Now Jesus seems to be talking to Philly again, inviting him back into helping people in need. Can Philly risk using his gifts to help others? Can he risk intimacy with Jesus again? A direct sequel to Seeing Jesus, the most popular book by Jeffrey McClain Jones, Hosting Jesus returns to Philly's ongoing story and includes news of characters from other previous books in the series.
