Friend Cat is a meow-y good book that teaches empathy on a basic level for children to learn and understand. When Trouble the Cat and Flower the Dog are relaxing one day and a new cat shows up on their porch with no home and nowhere to go trouble ensues- literally. Scared of this brand-new stranger Trouble learns with the help of Flower how to open up her heart to this new guest through empathy and help him out.
