Would You Still Love Me?

About this book

What if obedience led you to the very edge of yourself-through hardship, unthinkable adversity, and profound grief-and then faith asked, "Will you go on?"Would You Still Love Me? is a raw and redemptive memoir of one woman's spiritual journey from simple faith as a child to Christian calling and full surrender, all in the relentless pursuit of knowing God's heart and His will. When Ruth and her husband, Earl, left their quiet Canadian roots to serve as Christian missionaries in Brazil, they had no idea how deeply their faith-and their family-would be tested. Alongside their children, they faced poverty, illness, cultural barriers, and devastating loss. Yet again and again, they found a deeper kind of trust: one forged not in comfort, but in costly obedience.Written with warmth, grit, and grace, Ruth recounts how she and her husband faced a life of unpredictable change, disappointment from those they trusted, and unforeseen legal tangles. She also tells of the joys and adventures of raising orphans and building a mission from the ground up. Through every experience, God's love and mercy were evident, bringing life and hope. This is more than a missionary story. It is a profoundly human Christian autobiography of surrender, resilience, and redemption. For anyone who has ever asked, "Where is God when it hurts?"-this book offers a deeply honest answer: He is nearer than we dare believe.---Black and white paperback edition
