Stories from the Back Garden

About this book

In this charming story, author and illustrator Kathleen Davies draws on the inspiration provided by the animals she observed in her own back garden in Caledon, Ontario, to depict the lives and adventures of the denizens of Kate's garden --- Chippy Chipmunk, Cheeky Charlie Squirrel, Henrietta Red Squirrel, Rackitty Raccoon, Rosy Skunk, and of course Kate and her house cat Miss Mew. The gentle story and lovely watercolor illustrations will appeal to readers of all ages and make for a perfect read-aloud book.
