Speak Life...And Shut The Hell Up!

About this book

Your words matter. They shape the way you see your world, influence the people around you, and can change the spiritual atmosphere of your circumstances. In Speak Life: ...and shut the hell up!, gifted communicator, leader and mentor Bev Murrill challenges readers to take seriously the power of what they speak.Negativity, fear and despair are easy languages to learn. But what happens when we begin to speak differently? What happens when our words come into agreement with the life, truth and hope of God?Drawing on biblical truth, personal experience and practical insight, Bev explores how the words we speak over ourselves, other people and the situations we face can have a profound impact. She encourages Christians to recognise destructive patterns of thinking and speaking, reject words rooted in fear and hopelessness, and learn to speak God's language of life. This is not simply positive thinking or positive confession. Speak Life is an invitation to see circumstances from God's perspective and to understand the responsibility and opportunity believers have to influence the world around them through faith-filled words. When we learn to speak life, we can begin to see the influence of Heaven brought to bear on our circumstances, creating room for hope, transformation and long-awaited breakthrough.Direct, challenging and full of encouragement, Speak Life: ...and shut the hell up! will help you examine the way you think, speak and pray, and ask whether your words are reinforcing fear or releasing life. With a foreword by poet, author and speaker Gerard Kelly, this book is for Christians who want to grow in faith, change destructive patterns of speech, deepen their understanding of the power of words, and become more intentional about bringing life, hope and truth into their relationships, homes, churches and communities.Change the way you speak, and you may begin to change the atmosphere around you.
