My dad is Jewish, but he loves Christmas!

About this book

In this heartfelt children's story, a Jewish father discovers unexpected joy in Christmas traditions. When the warm glow of the menorah inspires him, he embraces the holiday season with open arms and boundless enthusiasm. From climbing onto the roof to hang decorations, to cutting down (somewhat lopsided) Christmas trees, to creating oversized cookies for Santa, Dad throws himself into every festive activity. His daughters watch with delight as their home transforms and their father earns his affectionate nickname: "Mr. Christmas." Through simple, engaging prose and charming illustrations, this story explores how families can honor their heritage while creating their own unique traditions. As Dad reminds us, "It's not just about the lights or the tree. It's about us being together and creating memories." Perfect for families who celebrate multiple traditions or anyone who appreciates the universal language of celebration, My Dad is Jewish, but He Loves Christmas! reminds young readers that sharing light and making memories with loved ones transcends any single holiday tradition. This book is a touching celebration of family bonds, cultural blending, and the joy of togetherness during the holiday season.
