Erotic Seasons

About this book

Are you at a threshold where what used to feel good or what used to make sense doesn't anymore? Do you desire a deeper, more embodied relationship with your sexuality? Kimberly Ann Johnson has rallied support for women transitioning to motherhood in The Fourth Trimester. Now she brings eroticism to the center of our power for every life stage. "Every woman I've worked with has told me that they know their sexuality holds treasures for them, keys to their soul path, but they just can't seem to find those keys to reliably unlock the treasure chest," writes Kimberly Ann Johnson, sexological bodyworker and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. Erotic Seasons helps women find the keys to that chest. Women experience so many crossroads at the different stages in our lives―these might include beginning a relationship, navigating fertility, becoming a mother or not, entering in perimenopause or menopause, leaving a marriage or opening a marriage. At these thresholds, our desires can become mysterious. Of course they do when our bodies and pleasure pathways change. Most of us don't have the language or experience to communicate about these changes, so we are left feeling confused, shut down, or broken. But we can have courage together to learn and voice our true desires. Erotic Seasons guides women toward a revolutionary reckoning with sexuality. Grounded in understanding the female body in our monthly, seasonal, and lifetime rhythms, the book guides readers to locate themselves in their own anatomy and nervous system patterns. Kimberly reframes the archetypes of the female lifespan―maiden, mother, virgin, crone―for women today and shares powerful stories of women across generations, helping readers orient to the realities and mysteries of each life stage. With this knowledge, women can experience eroticism that lights up their whole life and unlocks possibilities for us all."Kimberly Ann Johnson writes like a wise woman sitting across from you at the fire--honest, grounded, and full of hard-won, studied and trustable wisdom."--Alexandra Roxo, author of F*ck Like a Goddess and Dare to Feel
