The Trail to Reconciliation

About this book

Bestselling Author B.N. Rundell brings to a close the enthralling saga of Reuben and Elly Grundy, reluctant marshals serving a good greater than themselves. The Kiowa, Comanche, and Ute people were restless, angered by the many families uprooted from the east and seeking homesteads in the west, taking their land and making conflict common. Soldiers were fighting and killing them, too, and the buffalo were disappearing at an alarming rate. When displaced guerrillas from the Southern bushwhackers like Quantrill and Bloody Bill Anderson came west, lusting after gold ripe for the picking, blood began to flow in earnest in the prairies of the West.As the nation was experiencing growing pains, the need for mail and a safe means of transportation prompted the expansion of stagecoach companies, some growing by taking over smaller lines. The reluctant marshals, Reuben and Elly Grundy, are tasked with making peace and ensuring the safety of passengers and cargo alike. A big job for two people, but one they were willing to do. But would they be successful, or would this be the last job they ever have?
