Sindhis in Global Context

About this book

Sindhis are the inhabitants of Sindh, the current name of the Indus Valley Civilization. A 5,000-year-old civilization built on principles of secularism and peaceful coexistence. This book is an attempt to review the history, culture, and values of Sindhis as they struggle to survive against all odds in an area of the world in which religious extremism and intolerance has become rampant. Anyone interested in knowing more about Sindh and the region will find this book highly informative; it is written by someone with firsthand knowledge of the area.
