ELEPHANT TRUNK STEAKS and Other Adventure Stories

About this book

Elephant trunk steaks? Disk-lipped women? A thermometer reading of 163 degrees? A four-day motorcycle trip across central Africa? These true stories, drawn from the real-life adventures of the authors, display their refreshing zest for life and deep faith in God. Each chapter is written as a series of shorter stories - many of them set in the heart of Africa. Adults and children alike will find these stories so unusual, so captivating, that they may find it difficult to put the book down! You will find a lot to laugh about in these stories! But you will also be led to think a bit about what is really important in life. If you are left wanting more, be sure to look for the second and third books to come in this series!Larry and Sallie Fogle have been privileged to live overseas for a good portion of their lives. As missionaries with Baptist Mid-Missions (BMM), they worked twenty years in Central African Republic and Zambia and raised their three children there. Returning to the USA they worked for eleven years with the Bible translation ministry of BMM, Bibles International, then transitioned in 2007 to the Pastoral Enrichment Program (PEP). In that capacity with BMM, they travel internationally to speak at conferences and seminars for local pastors and other church leaders. Having earned his doctorate (D.Min.), Larry also teaches module courses in the Bible training schools in those countries.
