Prayers of Praise & Celebration

About this book

Finding words to express our heart's deepest affections is not easy. For example, "we do not know how we should pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings." But even the Apostle Paul desired to "speak with [his] mind," rather than just with his spirit. Praying Scripture back to God is helpful in this regard, but it can be difficult in the beginning. Prayers of Praise & Celebration is a collection of prayers of praise and sonnets of celebration which will ease this burden. It provides the effective assist to our devotion and worship we need in order to pray spiritually and with our minds. Rooted in Scripture, these prayers engage us with their beauty of expression, depth of emotion and keenness of insight.
