Open: Every Seed Has Its Moment

About this book

"[A] comforting and triumphant meditation on the act of becoming." --Publishers Weekly (starred review) A soil-cozied seed grows into a flower and greets the sun in this gentle, inspirational story for aspiring gardeners - and anyone on the verge of life changes. A little seed nestles in the soil, surrounded by other seeds. Every seed has its purpose, and each seed is different, big or small, smooth or rough. Every seed grows its own way, and growing can be hard, so it's OK to take your time--there's no rush. When you're ready, the sun will be waiting, both miraculous and familiar--a warmth that you realize you have known all along. Paired with Sarah Jacoby's quietly joyful artwork, this lyrical text by Robert Agis coaxes readers along to that moment when even the smallest seed bursts through, opening to the world in all its beauty.
