Vampirita and the Angry Mob (Vampirita, Book #1)

About this book

Prepare for a spooktacular adventure with Vampirita, a vampire who finds herself in the sundrenched confines of California! Ever since Vampirita left her home in Lima, Peru for Sunny City, California, her life has been dull and gloomy - and not the chilly air, moldy tombstones, and scurrying cockroaches kind of gloomy. In her new home, you won't find a single creaky floorboard. At school, cricket and worm empanadas have been swapped for, well, rather conventional lunches. And if that's not enough, her next-door neighbors, August and Molly, are annoyingly nice. While her mom hopes for seamless integration, Vampirita yearns for the spirited days in Peru, where she could indulge her passion for tomb excavations with her abuevampiritos. But Vampirita is not one to surrender to mundanity. With her friends reluctantly in tow, she hatches an audacious plan to make her family talk of the town, complete with pitchforks and torches. The question looms, will her audacious scheme prevail, or will she unearth that Sunny City conceals far more than meets the eye? Vampirita and the Angry Mob is a whimsical, heartwarming tale celebrating unexpected friendships, daring adventures, and the search for a sprinkle of spookiness in the most unlikely places!
