Broom of Doom

About this book

For fans of The Sour Grape, here is a laugh-out-loud picture book about jealousy and being careful what you wish for. It's Halloween again and everyone is excited to celebrate . . . well, everyone except for Broom. Every year, Witch gets all the glory; she's on the magazine covers, she stars in all the movies, she's the inspiration for so many costumes, and Broom has had enough of being overlooked. Determined to be more than just Witch's sidekick, Broom concocts a plan to become the star of Halloween, and she will do anything to sweep away the competition. Becky Davies's hilariously outrageous text and Thomas Elliott's expressive and laugh-out-loud illustrations pair perfectly to teach little ones an important lesson on jealousy, kindness, and managing emotions.
