What's on Your Plate?

About this book

DID YOU KNOW? Some of the most popular dishes in the United States today originated in other countries. Maize (corn) is at the heart of Mexican cuisine. France produces over five hundred types of cheese. Pizza started out as a flat disc of bread roasted on stone. Chinese food can be traced back to the country's eight great cooking traditions. It's a big, tasty world out there--and this book takes kids on a tour through the cuisines of fourteen countries, complete with a recipe for each one!
