Through My Little Eyes

About this book

In "Through My Little Eyes," a heartfelt letter-poem to Mommy, a young child observes the daily superheroic feats that their mother performs. The child's eyes see their mother as a magician conjuring meals, a general guiding them through life's battles, a fairy creating imaginative wonder, and a wizard teaching wisdom. But as the story unfolds, the child realizes that their mother doesn't always see herself in the same light. She catches her reflection with a sense of disappointment, comparing herself to others and believing she falls short. The child's perspective remains unwavering, expressing that their mother is already a shining star, a guiding light, and a perfect parent. The child encourages their mother to let go of self-doubt and see herself as they do - a superhero capable of incredible feats of love and strength. The story beautifully portrays the bond between a child and their mother, showing that sometimes, the way we perceive ourselves can be vastly different from how our loved ones see us.
