Finding Myself--A Tale of Discovery

About this book

On the first day of school fifth grader Jackson Shipman is angry. His teacher, Mr. Love, has given the class an assignment on the first day. They have to write an essay on the topic 'Who are You?' And so Jackson's journey begins as we go with him on a sometimes difficult, fun, hilarious, personal, and fantastic quest to find himself. The first chapter is illustrated in what may look like a typical picture book, though it is anything but a picture book. The final chapter finishes the story and offers readers a chance to discover who they are along with Jackson as he shares his essay with the class at his teacher's request. The first person narrative will have readers feeling they are right with Jackson on his fascinating quest to find himself. Who are you? That is the question that must be answered. Come and find out who Jackson is and quite possibly who you are as well.
