The Boys from Luckenbach

About this book

From the bestselling Johnstones comes a blazing new saga of the American West. The epic story of the Hamlins of Luckenbach, Texas--and their fight to build a longhorn empire . . . A lawless land. A texas dynasty. A new johnstone legend. Caleb Ezekiel Hamlin arrived in Texas in 1850 with nothing but a handful of longhorns and a head full of dreams. 17 years later, his Circle H Ranch is thriving, his empire growing alongside the still-lawless town of Luckenbach. His ranch-born heirs--5 sons and a daughter--are running the place now. They're known as "The Boys from Luckenbach." Each has a mind of their own--and their own way of dealing with the rustlers, robbers, and outlaws who threaten their home . . . Jake Hamlin is the oldest and the toughest. When he's not butting heads with his siblings, he's trying to tame his wild teenage son. His brother Lawrence is the smart one who studied at Oxford and returned with lots of newfangled ideas. Their brother Elias served as a captain in the Civil War, while Rory got lured away by the gold rush. Then there's their sister Rebecca, who can rope and ride as good as any man, and finally the baby of the family, Jimbo. They might fight among themselves and forge their own paths. But when one of the brothers gets gunned down defending his sister's honor, the others come together--for justice, for family, for vengeance . . . The Boys are back in town. And they're out for blood.
