Finish First

About this book

In his years as a professional figure skater, Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Hamilton learned to embrace the mind-set of working hard to beat the competition. In doing so, he found the strength to rise above every challenge life has thrown his way. But it seems competing to win has gotten a bad rap these days. We've bought into the belief that failure must be avoided at all costs and it's unfair to participants to rank their performances.Scott has lived a life filled with victories. But he wasn't born a winner. Neither were you. Some labels just have to be earned. In Finish First Scott explains how to understand your unique purpose, why you aren't a winner--yet, how to break the pattern of losing, why you should ditch fear and celebrate failure, and the importance of editing your critics. You'll be amazed at how simple and logical it is to be better than you've ever been. Awaken your greatest potential and embrace the fact that you were born for something special. We need to relearn that competition is a good thing because it drives us to live to the fullest and strive to be better than we ever thought possible. To finish first is something we all dream about. It's time to begin achieving those dreams.
