The Wounds of Albion

About this book

After almost 70 years of constant struggle and a thousand adventures in a million worlds the Eternal Champion returns to London to find absolution! For his great crime against the human race he was doomed to become many men and women, inhabiting alien worlds, none stranger than our own. He was Elric, Erekosë, Cornelius, Corum, Hawkmoon. He was Pyat, Una Persson, Joseph Kiss and Mary Gasalee, Danny Dover and The Rose - Jack Karaquazian, von Bek, Gloriana and Captain Quire. He was John Daker and so many more. Above all he was Michael Moorcock, writer, son, husband, torn between this world and the world of Alsacia, between the responsibilities of family and the wild life of a tramway thief in another dimension of the multiverse. Part autobiography, part fantasy and sometimes both, this book finally concludes the interrelated series Moorcock has been writing for the best part of his long life, taking his characters from London to Ukraine, to Egypt and exotic worlds far from our own, and now he comes home.
