Nell of Gumbling: My Holiday Diary

About this book

Nell of Gumbling and her diary are back for the holiday season...but will crushes and competition turn this winter wonderland turn into a nightmare?! From the bestselling author of The Okay Witch comes another adventure from a twelve-year-old girl living an ordinary life in a magical land. 'Tis the season of Feszht in Gumbling, which means spending time with friends and family and looking back at the past year. But the year isn't over yet, and when Nell ends up directing the town's holiday show, it seems like everyone is looking to her for answers--everyone except the Sam Birdneck, the new kid in town, who becomes her co-director. Sam has his own ideas of how to run the show, and he and Nell can't seem to agree on anything. Which is made worse when Nell realizes she has an extremely inconvenient crush on Sam. And if that weren't enough to deal with, the holiday spirit becomes a bit too literal when the kids find out the theater is haunted. Can Nell pull off a perfect show and prove to her friends and herself that she can handle the spotlight? Or will the backstage drama ruin the holiday before the curtains even open?
