Daily Prayer

About this book

This unique volume, first published in 1941, became the classic prayer anthology for a generation of British Christians. Using the original book as his framework, Frank Topping has created a new anthology that reflects the concerns and the spirituality of Christians in the twenty-first Century.Structured around the days of the week and the Church year, Daily Prayer features familiar and new prayers, meditations, prayers from Scripture, collects (short prayers) from the lectionaries of various denominations and extracts from spiritual classics. Readers will also appreciate the additional sections on Collects and Prayers for the Christian Year and Prayers for Various Occasions. This superb resource will enrich both public worship and private devotions.
